Grabe, antagal na nung huli akong mag-update ng aking blog. Ahummm, kelan pa ba? One month ago? Eniweis, eion na nga, madami naman talaga akong mga na-experience nitong mga nakaraang linggo, tamad nga lang akong magkwento sa sobrang bilis ng mga naiisip ko at mga gustong ikwento! Hmpf! Sige, try kong i-recall ang ilan sa mga unforgettable experiences ko.

August 11, Thursday
MTV Event @ UP Manila

At around 3pm, mahaba na ang pila sa tapat ng CAS LT to see the MTV event sponsored by one of the student orgs ng AS. Somehow kahit hindi kami nakapasok ng friends ko sa loob ng LT (puno na kasi, as in siksikan) because we had to attend our Zoo10 Lec class, I still consider myself lucky. kasi sa labas, I could walk anywhere and still get the chance to see VJs Nicole and John Joe. Also, I saw Juan Pablo Dream perform ("Nice Place"), cool yung music nila, dance-y and fun, with trumpets and a total fashion! Nakausap ko pa kahit sandali ang Session Road, kumpleto na sila this time, and napa-autograph ko ang notebook ko sa kanila as well as the picture Laurice and I had with them last May during the Awit Awards. Sabi nga ni Hannah (vocalist and guitars) iyun lang ata ang pic nila sa Awit Awards, kaso di ko binigay yun sa kanila... next time na lang, hehe. Nakita ko pa si Rico Blanco (of Rivermaya, sa'n pa ba?) nang malapitan, wafu! ^^ Of course nagperform rin ang SR at Rivermaya at hanlufet talaga nilang lahat! apir!

Total music lover, hindi ko na pinalagpas ang pagkakataong makabili ako ng tickets para sa event na ito. To start, I had to pay about 150 pesos just to purchase tickets (a total of 11 ang nabili) for the MTV Pilipinas Awards 2005 which will be held on August 25. Hindi naman para sa akin lahat iyon, a few of my blockmates (Jennifer, Crizel and Andrea) also had their share sa pagbili nun, kasi I had to load their fones para makapag-download ng Smart chenes at makakuha ng isang upper box ticket. Napabili pa ako ng Ellipse cologne to get that 11th ticket in case may pagbibigyan pa ako. Aside from the four of us, I intended to give the following people a ticket: my bro Pauwy, Laurice, Bei, Fia, Cuz Shie and Cuz Knoll, and my sis Lovely, for the 11th ticket.

Thanks to Ate Weng (the one in-charge of the smart booth sa LT), for that short (but sweet) salestalk para ma-convince akong gumastos for those MTV tickets. *bow

Naging surprise ang tickets for Fia and Bei kasi they didn't have the chance to buy one for themselves since nasa loob sila and they can't get out of the LT.

August 20, Saturday
Marie's Debut

Actually, Marie's birthday was during the 15th (ka-birthday niya ex ko .^_^. ), kaso that was a Monday, so nung Saturday na lang ginawa yung celebration. Laurice, Via, Pauwy and I were the hosts for the night. Medyo may pagka-cram mode kasi walang fixed na program, but since debuts were not new to us, we kinda made the usual stuff that happens in a celebration - prayer, presentation of the celebrant (and the escort), konting kamustahan chenes, among others. It was late than expected when we started, but the program went out well. Although there are some who weren't able to attend, the people present that night surely gave our friend a wonderful time. Of course, the food was great: as if may hindi masarap sa akin ^^.

Hindi mawawala ang picture taking, pero since the four of us were the hosts for the night, hindi namin nadiskartehang ipaubaya ang pag-take ng pictures sa iba naming choirfriends. Okay lang, pag may time naman kami, kuha parin kame ng pictures. Hankulet nga kasi may picture kami ni Rhandy tsaka ni Puldo, at parang ako lang ang masaya sa mga kuha na iyon (uhm, excuse me, friends po kame, aheeeeee!).

Later that night, or most probably a few minutes past twelve, 'party mode' na kami, sayawan... shempre kami nina Via at Laurice ang mga reyna ng dancefloor, kasi kami lang ang malalakas ang loob na sumayaw... Kilig nga e, sinayaw ako ni Doink, aheeeeeee! Wala lang, shempre si Rhandy at si kapatid na Jayson isinayaw rin ako... Tapos si Marie nagsimula nang maghatak ng mga ipapares nia to dance, i get to dance with two of her classmates in college, plus one galing dun sa mga grupo nung may kontrol sa sound system. They were all nice naman e, so cool kame. n_nm/

The last dance i had for that event was the closest guy friend i've had, si Jene. Of course for those who knew me way back in highschool, showbiz na kami niyan. Kami kasi ang nagmumukhang couple when hindi naman naging kami for once. I had boyfriends (hindi sabay!), he's got his girlfriends, pero pag magkasama kami parang kami raw... Kahit kami di namin ma-explain kung bakit sweet kami, siguro dahil more than a decade na kaming magkakilala at sobrang dami na naming mga naranasan... So far, good friends kame. Sabi ko nga, siya ang closest guy friend ko.

That was just the introduction. during the dance, medyo madami na rin kaming napag-usapan, tungkol sa kanya, sa akin, and to add drama, nag-reminisce pa kami ng moments namin nung highschool. Honestly, I missed my friend, and i won't be shy telling this here in my blog kasi alam na rin naman niya, anu ba naman ang ma-miss ko ang taong kilala na ako simula grade one diba? To cut the story short, our dance lasted for three songs, mas mahaba ng konti nung sumayaw kami nung 4th year prom. :)

After the dance, we stayed there for a few minutes, at after ng ilang pictures, nagsi-uwian na rin kami... It was tiring, yet fun and memorable. :D

August 25, Thursday
MTV Pilipinas Awards '05

A few days before the event, someone stole Laurice's wallet in school, in which one of its contents was the MTV ticket I gave her. Too bad... Fortunately, our Kuya Randy from *Converse gave us four tickets (two tickets each). But since I already have a few, I gave my share to Laurice. My "150-peso toilings" last August 20 finally met its reward - the awards night itself. Sad to say, the original three who were with me to buy the tickets weren't able to come... sayang ang tickets, walang ibang nakinabang. On the other hand, Laurice got with her his bro Levin, as well as our Kuya Caloy (Manong), his bro Puldo, Arvin, and Manong's other bro and sis in law. Actually, she also planned to take her blockmate Aileene, but she couldn't make it to that night kaya may sobra rin siyang ticket.

I won't be enumerating all those who performed and won a nomination, but to share some info, Bei, Fifi and I were able to see Hale in a closer view because when we planned to buy food near the red carpet set, that was the time that the guys have just arrived. Medyo nagmatigas pa kami kasi gusto namin tawagin yung band... Nakita pa namin nang malapitan sina Francine Prieto, Julianna Palermo, Dingdong Dantes, VJ Cindy, VJ Colby, basta sila na yun. Nakawayan namin sina Kuya Champ at Sheldon, pero lahat sila napansin kame... Ganun din ung Session Road, hehe, kapal ko, tinawag ko sila, pero pinansin naman nila ako!

Pwede na rin sana kami makapasok sa Lower Box kaso nga naisip namin yung iba naming kasama sa upper box na baka di papasukin, kaya wag na lang. Medyo maluwag sila kasi konti lang naman talaga ang tao at hindi puno ang Araneta, in fairness ang General Admission area ay lumabas na para sa mga late-comers na lang, hehe...

The whole night was really fun, the hosts had their share of comedy and entertainment. Cool din yung 'boxing' concept nila, in which lead si 'Tado' sa "BOOM BOOM: The Jun-Jun Jones Story". Siyempre what made the night more worth it is that Hale won as Best New Artist and Christian Bautista bagged the Favorite Male Artist Award! Both performed pa, kaya masaya! Gary V. also performed with his son Gabriel and their 'company', astig talaga. Also, the last performance, which included some Pinoy Rock Musicians plus Pepe Smith, was such a great one. I cannot mention all of their names kasi di ko kabisado, pero sige, I'll try. Ely Buendia (vocals/guitars, Pupil), Marc Abaya (vocals, Kjwan), Wendell (drums, Barbie's Cradle), Mike (guitars, Rivermaya), plus two from Kapatid (vocals and bass ata). Each one played either a particular musical instrument, or sang a part of the song. For me, astig ang performance! Sana nga kahit ako marunong mag-bass at mas maenjoy ko rin ang guitars.... Basta yon! that night was a blast!

Parang pre-birthday gift na para sa akin.
Thanks to Laurice's Dad (Tito Lito Catalan) for driving us home. Birthday niya the next day (26th) kaya kinantahan na namin siya sa sasakyan kasi past midnight na halos natapos yung awards show. Thank you po ulit!

P.E. Class, Basketball

Wala lang, I just helped in making our basketball team win kasi andami kong ginawang fastbreak with the help of my teammates. P.E. class namin yun, tapos three on three, mas swerte pa kasi napunta sa amin yung isa naming classmate na lalaki kaya pag napupunta sa kanya yung bola, sa akin hinahagis, tapos ang luwag pa ng bantay sa akin.

At least nagmukha akong marunong maglaro ng basketball kahit hindi naman talaga. ^^

August 27, Saturday
My 18th Birthday, Antipolo

That morning, may Parent-Teacher Interaction yung kapatid kong bunso (Lovely Grace) sa school nila. Kumpleto sana kaming pupunta dun, pero my bro had something to do kaya and kasama lang ni Lovely ay Ako, si Mama at si Dadi. Ang sweet nga e, kasi dun sa isang game nagpasahan ng isang gift, but in the end, napunta kay Mama yung gift with Lovely's "I love you" and hug kaya yon, medyo naiiyak si Mama. Ako rin muntik na maiyak, hehe. Nakita kong sumayaw si Love, first time ko ata siyang nakita, at ang lola mo, na-shock na na-elibs kasi sister niya ang pinakamagaling sa group! Yehey!

Ka-text ko nun si Batman, at nireklamo ko sa kanya ang regalo niya sa aking appearance ng Mars, di naman lumitaw. Kahit siya di niya nakita. Si Laurice late naman sa class niya, ka-text ko rin kasi.

Hindi na rin siguro surprised ang mga tao if a girl didn't celebrate her 18th birthday with the usual debut ceremonies. Isa ako sa mga iyon. I turned 18 at this date and I spent it with my family. We went to Antipolo to attend mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage and then later wen't to Padi's Point for dinner. Ahm, ano ba, nag-picture-taking din kami siyempre, tapos nag-enjoy kami ng isang napakasarap na dinner! Yum!

Malakas ang ulan nung time na iyon, but that didn't stop me from accomplishing our plan. Ayos pa rin, simple but sweet. Tsaka kahit hindi ako nakapag-debut, as in with the 18 roses (in fairness binili ako ni Mama ng isang rose), candles, gifts, or whatever, marami namang bumati sa akin. People who are really close to my heart, those na kahit hindi na kami nagkikita e hindi nila nakalimutan ang existence ko. Thanks sa lahat ng nakaalala sa birthday ko, binati man ako o hindi, may regalo man o wala. Basta nakaalala.

Post-birthday

Nag-mass kami siyempre nung hapon kasi yun yung schedule ng choir namin (Catholic Ensemble '70). Late nga ako e, nakakahiya. Anyways, narinig ko nanaman ang name ko sa mga nagpa-thanksgiving kasi every year naman nagpapabati ako e. Then the mas ended. After ng mass, kinuha ko yung mga pina-develop kong pictures, and thru the generosity of Kuya Randy, nagmistulang service ang kanyang van para makapunta kami sa bahay namin, may konti kasi akong handa. Hindi kumpleto ang choir kasi walang oldies tsaka wala si Doc Zara, si Kuya Louie, si Janine, at si kapatid na Jayson. Buti na lang si Rhandy nakahabol.

Personally, I enjoyed. Ok na yung presence nila. Ang sarap pa ng food. May messages pa sila sa akin sa isang malaking card c/o Arvin, Ryan and Jayson. Nandun pa ang sisses kong sina Marie, Laurice, Ris at Via, at si Jene na rin. Ok, ime-mention ko na lahat, sina Caloy, si Puldo, si Arvin, JR, si Frexy, si Joyce, si ate Ria, ate Quennie, ate Alma, ate Jeanette, kuya Randy. Kahit saglit lang yung karamihan sa mga ate at kuya (actually si Manong lang ang natira), ayos na! Siyempre may picture-taking pa rin kami! and mawawalan ba kame ni Laurice ng panibagong pose? Hindi ata... :)

Umulan later that night, and may mga nabasa on their way home. Buti na lang walang nagkasakit sa kanila. Nagkausap pa kami ni Arvin sa fone, na-miss namin ang wentuhan moments e. Kwela nga e, kasi ang tagal na naming hindi nagkakausap, kahit pa lagi kaming nagkikita sa simbahan thru the choir.

*Ayan na ang karamihan sa mga nangyari sa akin nitong weekend ng August. E "HELLO! ANONG PETSA NA?!"
Tsk tsk tsk, iresponsableng bata! Sori po...
